We traveled out to Dade city Florida to the stunning Simpson Lakes.
Set on 120 acres this venue offers breath taking views of oak trees and clear lakes. This is definitely a more chic take on a barnyard wedding. Everything is brand new and styled to the T which matched our couples classy taste without a doubt. A 200+ guest count, a completely DIY venue, 10+ vendors, a big a$$ bridal party, one extremely excited couple, and a chance of rain! Lets get into the details y’all!
For Alyssa & Devon’s wedding we provided coordination, florals, and decor. This group was an absolute blast to work with from rehearsal to wedding day! Just golden! As for the decor, the vibe was classic and timeless. Our couple really wanted something that was elegant, clean cut, and matched their personal style, which showed through their decor.
Rain was dooming the forecast for the days leading up to the wedding and we even almost had to change the ceremony site but the odds were ever in their favor and they got the lakeside ceremony of their dreams! When looking at the images/videos captured by Janel Herranz and Labif Filmhouse you can literally feel the excitement of Alyssa and Devon as they embark on their journey to become one!
The hours went by like minutes in this fun filled wedding day. When A & D chose their bridesmaids and groomsmen they chose right! Surround yourself with people who love you, people who match your energy, people who get hype when they see you coming. The groomsmen’s suite was a pre game leading up to ceremony! Shots, fresh haircuts, and loud music)!
While the guys pre-gamed, the girls were very serene and focused on getting glammed up for the big day, also hiding the fact that we were all freaking out over the ceremony location due to the weather forecast.
The scene was right out of a fairytale!
Devon walked down the aisle with his beautiful grandmother to take his place at the altar. Pulling up in style, the bride and her father arrived in a white Mercedes SUV to the ceremony. Holding each other tightly, Alyssa and her father made their way down the 40ft pathaway that would lead to her “happily ever after”. After the highly anticipated ceremony came to an end, guests headed off to cocktail hour under the beautiful Open-Air Pole Barn. Refreshments were served, corn hole was played, and memories were made! At reception, guests were met with gorgeous farm tables lined with lush greenery and white candles giving off the perfect ambiance.
Their epic entrance did not disappoint.
The whole bridal party came out with their best club behavior. The groomsmen sported strobing bottles high in the air while the bridesmaids waved letter signs that spelled out “Garnett”. Spark shooters signaled it was time for the bride and groom to make their grand entrance and they came out dancing and having a ball, they even took a shot together in the middle of the dance floor to seal the deal. Dinner was delectable, guest dined and listened to speeches from the fathers of the newly weds, maids of honor, and best men! Once everyone had their share of food Justin with “Events done right” cranked up the music and the real party started. When we say they danced through the night we mean it! The groom even surprised everyone at the wedding by taking over the Dj booth and doing a guest set, as you can imagine the crowd went nuts. This night it something that Alyssa, Devon, and their friends, and family will remember for the rest of their lives. We are so thankful to have been apart of such an extraordinary day. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Garnett we wish you a lifetime filled with love and joy together!
